about

I wrote this song a long time ago when I was in my late teens. I have recorded it a few times, but this is its first release. This song never loses its magic for me. I think I have a relationship with it as it is a song dedicated to my mother Jean. The song is supposed to be from the perspective of a child looking up at his mother from the cradle - that Mom is his whole world and vise-verse. Don't be deceived by the title. It could also just be called "Lets Live Long".

lyrics

Lets Die Slowly

I told you
Lets die slowly
Besides you I can’t think of
Anyone or anything who I would rather love
besides you

Inside me you are my likeness
Entire worlds fall behind you
Never seem to catch you up
You are my inner voices
Inside me

When we awoke
We spoke one language
And you said come on stranger
Let your words feeling the joy of the crying of life
Be your language

I touch you
And I feel holy
